2-Wire Magnetic Reed Sensor with LED – D-Z73

The D-Z73 is a compact Reed Auto Switch primarily designed for detecting piston position in pneumatic cylinders.

The sensor is activated by the magnetic field of the magnet installed inside the cylinder piston, allowing reliable position detection without mechanical contact. It is suitable for pneumatic machinery, industrial automation and PLC-controlled systems.

The D-Z73 is a 2-wire Reed sensor with an integrated LED operation indicator. Technical documentation specifies a nominal 24 VDC electrical rating; operation at 12 VDC is also possible while taking the sensor's internal voltage drop into account.

Electrical Connection – 2 Wires:

• Brown: OUT (+)
• Blue: OUT (−)

The D-Z73 is a 2-wire Reed switch, therefore it is not classified as PNP or NPN. The load or PLC input is connected in series with the sensor.
